How to get to Wageningen
Nearest Airports:
- Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) – The largest airport in the Netherlands, about 90 km from Wageningen.
- Eindhoven Airport (EIN) – Located approximately 85 km away, often used by budget airlines.
- Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTM) – About 110 km from Wageningen, a smaller but convenient airport.
By Public Transport:
- From Schiphol Airport, take a direct train to Ede-Wageningen Station (usually with one transfer in Utrecht or via Intercity Direct routes). The journey takes about 1.5 hours.
- From Eindhoven Airport, take a bus to Eindhoven Station, then a train to Ede-Wageningen Station (about 1.5 to 2 hours).
- From Rotterdam Airport, take a bus or taxi to Rotterdam Central Station, then a train to Ede-Wageningen Station (about 1.5 to 2 hours).
- From Ede-Wageningen Station, there are frequent buses (around 15 minutes) or taxis to Wageningen city center.
By Bike or Public Transport (Locally):
Wageningen is very bike-friendly, and renting a bicycle is highly recommended for getting around the city and its surroundings.
By Car:
Wageningen is accessible via the A12 and A50 highways. However, please note that parking in the city center may be limited, and using public transport or bicycles is encouraged for a more sustainable and relaxed visit.

3. Hotel de Wereld (€€€)
A historic hotel where the capitulation of Germany in the Netherlands was signed on May 5, 1945. The hotel combines history with modern luxury and houses restaurant O Mundo, known for its gastronomic cuisine.
